Alginate is a natural ingredient derived from seaweed, known for its moisture-absorbing and soothing properties. Commercial alginate is produced from algin — also known as "alginic acid" — which occurs naturally in brown seaweed. These seaweeds are harvested and mixed with water to form a soft, elastic gel that adapts well to different shapes.

Our Alginate baseplate is infused with 15% alginate. Designed to soothe the skin, it supports healthier skin around your stoma and may help you achieve a more comfortable, confident wear.
